Welcome friends and fellow adventurers!

We hope you enjoy exploring this minimally-cloying website, and that we can attract you to come and explore/party in Iceland in June! If the website does not work, let us know and we will have Ymir's family send you some Icelandic propaganda (I have received 2 DVDs, and there's a wonderful propaganda magazine...)

NB: For late-comers, the pictures of the wedding can be found on the website of the amazingly talented gentlemen at Nordica Photography. We are on the bottom left.

I bet you wonder why you got a wedding invitation months in advance of a wedding. We're not quite as eager beaver as it sounds, there's logic. The wedding is in Iceland (as noted on the card)...and Iceland has a tourist season but not many hotels. That means you will want to decide soon if you're coming and reserve a hotel.....OR...you can bring a tent, there are lots of tent-hotels. See the "where am I sleeping?" page for contact information on the hotels. Note that rooms will be held at the wedding site until the first week of May. After that, if you have not reserved a room, you will be sleeping in a tent.
This website will provide information on activities we are going to arrange. Since you're coming all the way to Iceland, might as well stay a while! Because everyone has different interests, we have no idea if/when people would like to join us. Take a look at what's happening, and then fill in the "are you coming?" page. If you know you're not coming, give a shout so we can adjust the number of rooms being held (we held two entire hotels, and besides thinking we're slightly crazy, they'd also like to book the rest of the rooms to other groups).
Announcements:
1) You will be sleeping in a tent at the wedding site if you do not reserve a room before May 7.
If you're not sure if you reserved a room at the wedding site or not, put your information on this spreadsheet and we will double check the first week of May (before they release the remaining rooms). Specifically for Becky's family because they keep asking: If you're taking the bus, you will be at the wedding site June 17-19 (the nights of the 17th and 18th).
2) Do you need a place in Reykjavik? Check out this page! Special rates on rooms in Reykjavik available until April 24.
3) Stay tuned for updates including specific dates and times for going on day trips. If you're interested in hiking and have not heard from Ymir, please send us an email.

We included the obligatory cute picture to the left...but that is the only one on the whole website. There is no daily counter. There are no stories of meetings, and moments and proposals. This is intended to recruit you to a big party in a foreign country, not to make you gag on your breakfast.
My email, if you have any questions not answered in the magnum opus that was this site, is rmm 257 at gmail dot com (using normal internet convention in a desperate hope to avoid spam?). Shoot me an email, and I'll send out info!
